Vermont-based artist Joseph Chirchirillo has been creating sculptures since the 1970s. He created large-scale sculptures using concrete and steel, elements common in architectures. He has been invited to display his works in many outdoor sculpture exhibitions in the U.S. In the 1990s, Chirchirillo began exploring and experimenting with kinetic art. He used mechanical designs to mimic different natural cycles, such as wind and water. Although these "sculpture systems" do not serve any "practical" purpose, they are fun, creative, and unique work that reflects the inventor's inner child.
